As Assistant Accountant/Bookkeeper supporting UK clients working with us will give you the opportunity to hone and develop your client services and technical skills in a very dynamic SMEs accounting startup space.

What you'll do:
Independently handle bookkeeping and maintain a full set of accounts for a group of clients located in the UK, using cloud-based accounting software.
Handle complex accounting transactions such as those involving multi currencies, e-commerce, and VAT transactions.
Review the accounts and reports, create an accounting schedule, and correctly apply relevant IFRS standards to accounting transactions for the Accountant’s review.
Proactively maintain professional relationships and communication with clients, minimising complaints, and striving to provide clients with the best possible accounting services in a timely manner.
Help us to advance our technical lead by providing input into our software development process.
Responsible for completing any financial related administrative duties for your portfolio.
Who you are:
Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent. Professional certification ACCA/MIA/ACA/CPA is a plus.
At least 1-3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in handling a full set of accounts for external clients.
Good knowledge on accounting double entry, and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Knowledge/experience managing UK accounts is essential.
Experience with cloud accounting software such as Xero and/or Quickbooks, A2X, and interested to learn new accounting software.
Professional proficiency in English.
Advance proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, tech savvy.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; team player
Self-motivated and proactive; good time management, able to work meticulously under tight deadlines.
Strong sense of work ownership, agile to changes and always looking for improvements.
