Job Overview:

As a Content Writer, you will be responsible for crafting compelling and engaging written content across various platforms, showcasing our artists, record labels, and industry insights. Your expertise in copywriting, PR write-ups, and artist-focused blog or article creation will play a pivotal role in promoting our brand and captivating our audience.

This will start off as a part-time opportunity but has the potential to be a full-time work-from-home opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Create captivating written content for various purposes, including short and long-format copywriting, PR write-ups, artist bios, and blog or article creation.
• Collaborate with the marketing team, artists, and stakeholders to understand content requirements and objectives.
• Develop and maintain a consistent brand voice and tone across all written materials, ensuring alignment with the record label's vision and values.
• Write persuasive and impactful copy for marketing campaigns, press releases, social media posts, website content, and other promotional materials.
• Conduct research to gather relevant information about artists, music releases, and industry trends, ensuring accurate and up-to-date content creation.
• Craft engaging blog posts and articles that highlight our artists, record labels, industry insights, and music-related topics to attract and engage the target audience.
• Collaborate with the design team to ensure seamless integration of written content with visual elements.
• Edit and proofread written materials to ensure high quality, grammatical accuracy, and adherence to brand guidelines.
• Stay informed about industry trends, news, and developments to create timely and relevant content that resonates with the audience.
• Manage multiple writing projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are of the highest quality.

Qualifications:

• Proven work experience as a Content Writer or similar role, with a strong background in copywriting and creating various forms of written content.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and a solid command of grammar and punctuation.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt writing style and tone to suit different purposes, audiences, and platforms.
• Posses initiative to do independent research on target audience preferences, relevant local events, and other verified sources of information to support content creation.
• Experience in writing PR write-ups, press releases, and promotional materials.
• Strong research skills to gather information and develop well-informed and accurate content.
• Familiarity with SEO principles and best practices to optimize written content for search engines.
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Creativity and a passion for storytelling, with the ability to generate unique ideas and perspectives.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams and artists.
• A wide or general knowledge of the music industry, artists, and record labels is preferred.

Job Specifics or Requirements:

• Flexible work arrangement, with 1-2 weekly huddle meetings overlapping EST time.
• Able to adhere to reasonable deliverable due dates
• Must have good communication and keep a healthy feedback loop with the production team.
• Projects and tasks are on a consistent monthly/weekly basis although it is a part-time engagement temporarily.
• Role is expected to expand to a full time position.
• This is an independent contractor role.
