Job Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years related experience in data analysis, management, extraction, interpretation, database maintenance
- Preferably with knowledge and experience in MS Power BI
Other technical qualifications:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including VBA
- Proficient in all other Microsoft office products
- Intermediate SQL experience including writing queries, stored procedures, and views in SQL
- Experienced in insurance industry specific to professional indemnity is highly preferred
Job Responsibilities:
- Designs complex data queries based on customer inquiries/needs.
- Extracts, validates, and analyzes desired data.
- Defines the scope and format of reports and prepares same.
- Collaborates on the design, implementation, and evaluation of data analysis processes, including determining the metrics and methodologies to be used.
- Implementing and operating business intelligence software.
- Support the efficient operation/maintenance of SQL/Azure databases.
- Work with development teams to optimize database design and usage.
- Prepare environmental and procedural documentation.
- Create and maintain data dictionary by revising and entering definitions.
- Maintain & update data warehouse.
- Provide insights that will allow management the ability to quickly identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct external research for market intelligence.
- Support the units of the organization by developing and set up reporting dashboards and clearly communicate data insights i.e., sales, marketing, business development, compliance, debtor, renewals, professional indemnity, invoicing, etc.
- Liaise with business stakeholders to understand the requirements or business needs, as well as identify reporting solution required.
- Maintenance of data credibility of the CRM by doing system data clean-up.
- Responding to ad-hoc queries.
